Combo parties

One booking, two activities, back to back — laser tag for an hour, then paintball for two.

Who can do this: Owners and Managers. Where: Sidebar → Catalog & Pricing → Party Types → "Combo Party" card

Turning it on#

  1. Create or edit a party package.
  2. Scroll to the "Combo Party" card.
  3. Tick "Multi-Activity Combo""Chain two activities in one party (e.g. laser tag, then paintball). Each phase gets its own activity, field, and gear."
  4. Two phase cards appear. Fill both in.
  5. Save.

"Changeover time (minutes)"#

"Break between activities for switching fields. Leave blank for none."

Time between the two phases for moving the group, swapping gear, and resetting. This is on top of your field-wide buffer minutes, which still apply after the whole booking ends.

The two phases#

"Two activities played back to back. Each phase shows only its activity's fields and gear to the customer."

Each of "Phase 1" and "Phase 2" has:

Field What it does
"Name" What the customer sees for this half — placeholder "e.g. Laser Tag".
"Activity" Which activity this phase is. Determines which fields and which gear are offered.
"Duration (hours)" How long this phase runs. Half-hour steps. Must be greater than 0.
"Play area for this activity" "Only areas matching this phase's activity are shown. Leave all unchecked to allow any of them."
"Gear for this activity" "Only gear matching this phase's activity is shown. Leave all unchecked to allow all of them."

The total booking length is phase 1 duration + changeover + phase 2 duration. That's what gets held on your calendar and what determines which start times are offered.

What changes on the package when combo is on#

Three settings disappear from the package-level form, because each phase carries its own:

  • "Activity" — each phase sets its own.
  • "Allowed Gear Tiers" — each phase sets its own gear.
  • "Allowed Play Areas" — each phase sets its own areas.

Everything else — price per player, deposit, min/max players, allowed days, booking window — still applies to the package as a whole.

What the customer goes through#

The funnel asks for a play area and gear per phase, showing only what matches that phase's activity. Everything else — date, time, guest list, extras, payment — happens once for the whole booking.

Setup you need first#

A combo party can only work if both activities are actually set up:

  • Both activities enabled (Settings → "Booking Options", or your own activity is Active).
  • At least one active gear tier tagged to each activity.
  • If you use play areas, at least one area for each activity — or areas set to "Any" activity, which show up for everything.

If a phase shows no gear or no fields to your customers, that's the thing to check. See Why isn't this showing up?.

Turning combo off#

Untick "Multi-Activity Combo" and save.
