Operating hours

The weekly schedule that everything else is built on. Nothing can be booked outside these hours.

Who can do this: Owners only. Where: Sidebar → Business → Settings → "Operating Hours"

Setting your hours#

  1. Open Settings and expand "Operating Hours".
  2. For each day, set an open time and a close time.
  3. Leave both times blank for days you're closed.
  4. Click "Apply" in the bar at the bottom.

The card's own instructions say it plainly: "Leave both times blank for closed days."

Rules PBHQ enforces#

If you… You'll see
Set an open time but no close time "Close time is required when open time is set."
Set a close time but no open time "Open time is required when close time is set."
Set a close time earlier than the open time "Close time must be after open time."

Overnight hours (open 8pm, close 2am) aren't supported — close time has to be later the same day.

What your hours control#

Your operating hours are the outer boundary for everything on the calendar:

  • Booking times. The time slots customers see on your booking page come from these hours, minus your buffer minutes and anything already booked.
  • Day pickers. Closed days are greyed out on customer calendars automatically.
  • Activity and walk-on day restrictions. In Settings → "Activity Availability" and Settings → "Walk-On Availability", days you're closed render greyed with the word "Closed" and can't be selected. If you try to save a restriction that includes a closed day you'll get: "Your field is closed on: {Days}. Remove those days or update your operating hours."
  • Party package allowed days. Same rule — a package can't be restricted to a day you're shut.

Common questions#

We're open different hours in summer. Update the weekly hours when the season changes. For one-off variations use Special hours instead.

We're closed next Saturday for a private event. Don't touch your weekly hours. Use Special hours to close that window — it's reversible and doesn't affect any other Saturday.

We need to book a private party at 9am on a day we open at noon. Don't open the hours to the public just to do it. Use Custom reservation, which lifts the schedule rules for staff only.

We want to run laser tag only on weekends. That's Settings → "Activity Availability", not your operating hours. See Activities.
